Our Story

I arrived in Canada with two suitcases and a simple dream: to build a better future for my family. Like so many immigrants, my husband and I worked non-stop for years. Endless hours, bitter cold, a foreign language. But we were together, and we were moving forward.

Until one day, everything changed. It wasn’t dramatic — just an accident. After that, my body stopped being mine.

The accident changed everything. Pain, anxiety, insomnia, and panic attacks took over. My body no longer felt like mine. Medications didn’t help, and intimacy faded—not from lack of love, but because pain and shame left me silent.

So many people—women, men, people of all identities—struggle with bodies that change, intimacy that feels out of reach, and the quiet shame that follows.

The Search

When the healthcare system couldn’t give me answers, I searched for my own. I studied wellness, self-care, and traditions that treat the body as an ally, not an enemy.

It wasn’t magic, but it gave me back something I’d lost: choice, agency, and the courage to reconnect with myself. And I thought—if this matters to me, how many others are searching too?
